Description
The Glasserton Manse dates to around 1830. It is a symmetrical, two-storey and attic building with three bays, originally designed as a manse. The exterior is of sandstone rubble, with pink sandstone used for the corners and window surrounds. Granite is used for quoins and the rear margins.
A single-storey porch with a cornice sits centrally at the front, featuring margin glazing to the window. All windows are single-light, and those on the front elevation and left return have modern plate glass glazing.
The roof is slate-covered, with axial chimney stacks. At the rear, projecting single wings include a lean-to stair block and porch. The side elevations are similarly detailed, with the eastern side featuring a projecting single-storey canted window with small-pane glazing. The statutory address is Glasserton Old Manse.
