Description
This building, located at 80-82 Queensberry Street in Dumfries, dates from around 1880 and is a three-storey and attic warehouse. It features a cast-iron-framed and glazed gable facing the street. The ground floor includes a shop with an original fascia that extends over No 80, which is to the right. The angles and gable-head are made of red ashlar stone. The first and second floors have nearly full-width tripartite openings, with inset pilasters at the jambs and a pair of slender cast-iron columns that support the floors above. The windows are fitted with T-shaped glazing bars. The attic has a segmental-headed light, and the gable is finialled with shaped skews and a concealed roof.
