Description

The Lesser Gate Piers at Holme House were built around 1850 and consist of two pairs of gate piers located on the main drive to Holme House. The larger pair is situated at the Lodge and features octagonal painted ashlar stone that supports stone lions. The lesser pair, located halfway along the drive, has a square section and is also made of painted ashlar, supporting lions in a couchant position.
