Description
Cadgill House is a two-story, three-bay manse, likely dating to circa 1839. The building is constructed of rubble with ashlar margins, and the exterior is painted. The south-east elevation features a pedimented central porch and sash windows with 12 panes on the first floor. Straight skews are visible, along with end stacks; one stack was originally margined but has been rebuilt in brick. The gables are wide, and the south-west gable has unusual window arrangements. A tall stair window is positioned beside a rear wing. The roof is covered with uniform slates. A partly walled courtyard lies to the rear, containing a plain range of outbuildings. The manse was likely built circa 1839, coinciding with the recognition of Half Morton as a separate parochial charge.
