Description

1816 (dated). 3-storey corn mill by William MacKay, Mason;

single storey and attic 3-bay cottage adjoining E gable by

Richard Graham 1818; whitewashed rubble with contrasting

painted ashlar margins; straight skews; brick stacks; slate

roofs. MILL: main door off-centre on long S wall, boarded and

glazed openings to each floor asymmetrically arranged; W gable

ashlar where wheel was formerly; lower 2-storey rear wing not

original.

HOUSE: central door with plain fanlight; raised in height,

with 3 piended dormers; sash windows with 4-pane glazing

pattern; wide slappings to rear.

FARM BUILDINGS to S and to W may not be original, they are asymmetrically placed on slope, occupying both sides of road.
