Description

28-30 Fleet Street is a late 18th century, two-storey, two-bay end terraced house that was formerly two separate houses combined into one. The building features rubble walling with dressed openings. The ground floor has an irregular three-bay layout, with a door on the extreme left and a house door that is off-centre. Both doors have astragalled fanlights, although some astragals are missing, and they are complemented by attractive panelled doors marked 'Gatehouse'. The windows are sash and case with plate glass glazing. The roof is made of graded slate, with sandstone skews and ridge. There is also a wall-mounted letterbox marked "VR" on the right side of the building.
