Description

23 High Street in Kirkcudbright is a pair of terraced houses dating from the early 19th century. The buildings are two storeys high with a basement and feature four bays. They are constructed from rubble with painted margins and rusticated quoins. There are two central doors at the top of steps, each framed by a pilastered doorpiece and topped with a decorative fanlight. All the windows are 12-pane sashes. The houses have straight skews with simple moulded skewputts, brick stacks at the ends, and a slate roof.
