Description
Williamwath Lodge, built around 1840, is a single-storey, three-bay lodge featuring a corniced square porch that faces the driveway. Opposite the lodge is a similarly styled square outbuilding, which serves as decorative piers flanking the driveway, each adorned with a crest facing the eastern approach. The building is constructed from bull-faced red ashlar with polished margins, dressings, and keystones.
The main lodge has an original rectangular plan with its main elevation facing south towards the driveway. It includes single bay flanks with a canted east window and a circa 1900 addition at the rear (north). The lodge features sash windows with lying-pane glazing, a cornice, a blocking course, and corniced axial stacks. The piended slate roof is also enclosed by a blocking course.
The detached outbuilding has a door leading to the driveway and narrow lights on its flanks. The property is accessed through cast-iron gates.
