Description
Churchgate Cottage is a mid-19th century single-story, three-bay cottage situated at the gate to the parish church. The cottage is built of rubble with ashlar dressings, all whitewashed. It features a central door with a rectangular fanlight, sash windows with four-pane glazing, and end stacks. The roof is slate-covered, with a piended, low single-bay wing recessed on the west gable. The building is listed for group value with the adjoining church. The listing was changed from Category B to Category C(S) on 22nd February 1988. The statutory address is Churchgate Cottage, Boreland Village.
