Description
57 High Street in Kirkcudbright is a terraced house dating from the late 18th century, with its roof raised in the 19th century. The building is two storeys tall with an attic and features four bays. It has painted, lined render with margins. There are four doors, two of which are central; the left door has a lozenge fanlight. To the left of the central doors, there is a window and a pend, while to the right, there is a door with a similar fanlight and a shop window. All original windows are 12-pane sashes. The house has three wallhead gabled dormers, with the central dormer being bipartite. It also features brick end stacks and a slate roof.
