Description
Castlemilk Mill Farmhouse is a mid-19th century, two-storey, three-bay house designed in the style of Walter Newall. The building features a near full-width, twin-gabled rear wing that may have been doubled in width. It is constructed from rubble with red ashlar dressings and margins, and has projecting cills. The windows are small-paned sash types.
On the southeast elevation, there is a central door with a fanlight, framed by a pedimented doorcase that includes a consoled pediment adorned with anthemion ornament. The ground floor has canted windows that are likely original, while there are single windows above. The house has projecting eaves, short end stacks, and is roofed with graded slates.
