Description

Eliock Bridge, built in 1855 by Messrs. Hair of Sanquhar, is a road bridge featuring a single wide segmental arch over the River Nith. The bridge is constructed of coursed squared rubble with ashlar recessed arch rings and a band below the coped parapets, which are splayed at the approaches. The roadway slopes downwards from east to west.
