Newlyn, 17 Shore Street, Drummore

Newlyn is a late 18th to early 19th century, two-storey, two-bay house situated in a terrace at 17 Shore Street, Drummore. The house has a painted and lined render finish with painted dressings defining the margins, quoins, base course, and a narrow eaves course that runs continuously with the lintels. The main elevation, facing Shore Street, has a door positioned slightly to the left of the left-hand bay, featuring a panelled door and a letter-box fanlight above. Windows are regularly placed. The east elevation adjoins number 15 Shore Street (listed separately), and the west elevation adjoins number 19 Shore Street (also listed separately). The window glazing is top-hopper style. The roof has coped mutual skews to the northeast and northwest, and the broad mutual stacks are constructed of painted rubble on the east side and rendered on the west. The roof is covered with small, purple-grey slates.
