Description
This is a mid- to late 18th-century farmhouse. It is a two-storey, three-bay building with a lower, two-bay, single-storey and attic wing to the west, and a single-storey rear wing to the north of the main house. The farmhouse is constructed of painted rubble stone, with a boulder basecourse. The south elevation features a central doorway with a modern UPVC door. Original 18th-century window openings have rubble margins, and the windows now have modern sliding sash and case glazing, with plate glass in single or two-pane configurations. The farmhouse has end skew joints, coped end stacks topped with thackstanes and octagonal cans, and graded slate roofs, with sandstone ridges on the single-storey wings. There are rooflights present. This building is part of a group with Barholm Castle, listed separately.
