North Milton

North Milton is an earlier 19th-century farmhouse and steading. The farmhouse is a two-storey building with a first floor that breaks the eaves and features three bays. It is constructed of painted rubble with raised cills and has four-pane glazing in sash and case windows. The roof is covered with small grey slates and has red sandstone coped skews, along with painted rubble gablehead stacks on the east and west sides.

On the southeast elevation, there is a gabled porch at the center, which has a door on the west return and a window to the south. There are windows at both the ground and first floors in the outer bays, with gabled dormerheads above the first-floor windows.

The steading is located to the northeast and is arranged in a U-plan. It is also made of painted rubble and has gabled roofs of slate and corrugated asbestos, with stone ridges. The steading includes a two-storey barn to the northeast, which formerly housed a water-wheel on its east wall. There are steps leading down to a two-bay cartshed with segmental arches and a loft above, as well as steps down to a stable. Additionally, there is a rectangular-plan building with rounded corners and a piended slate roof, which is linked to a rubble coped boundary wall.
