Description

71 High Street in Dumfries is a building from the mid to later 19th century, featuring shops on the ground floor. It has an ornate wrought-iron Art Nouveau bracket above the central door. The first and second floors consist of two bays with mullioned windows, and there are three windows on the third floor. The exterior is finished with painted render and ashlar. It includes sash windows and a bracketed eaves cornice that connects to the adjoining building at number 79 High Street. The building has end stacks and a slate roof.
