Description
Aberdona House is an L-plan building with two wings. The northern wing is a 2-storey structure built of rubble with chamfered margins, dating from the early 18th century and altered over time. The southern wing, also 2-storey and rubble-built with chamfered margins, dates from the mid-18th century. An entrance hall featuring a Roman Doric style was inserted around 1835. There is a tall 3-storey tower in the angle of the building, designed in a Tudor style with a battlemented top, added around 1845. The interior of the older parts has been considerably altered, but a significant amount of original woodwork remains.
