Description
Broomley House is a U-plan building dating from around 1750. It features a two-storey main block with a basement, originally designed with a plain five-window façade and a cavetto splay to the door. The right-hand pair of windows has been pushed out to create a 3/8 bay, likely added in 1792. The south wing is a single-storey structure with a full basement, while the north wing contains single-storey offices. The exterior is plain and vernacular, originally harled with margins, but the west frontage has been stripped to reveal red rubble. Inside, there are no notable features except for a good hall fanlight and staircase.
