Description

Ivy House is an L-shaped building that was once two separate houses. The north-east wing dates back to the 17th century or earlier and features a timber-framed structure with an oversailing first floor, showcasing ornamental timbering with plaster infilling. The ground floor of this wing has been refaced with stucco. The south-west wing is an 18th-century addition made of stone rubble, which is now painted. The entire building has a tiled roof and casement windows. There are two 18th-century doorways with a sloping tiled hood above them. Additionally, a small section has been built out on both floors at the angle of the L. A brick and stone chimney breast is located on the north-east wall. The house has two storeys and four windows.
