26 Bonnington Road, Edinburgh

26 Bonnington Road is a mid-19th century, two-storey, three-bay rectangular-plan house that was formerly part of Swanfield mills. The building is constructed from cream sandstone, squared and snecked rubble with droved dressings, and has a rendered rear.

The front elevation features a central doorway with a narrow fanlight, flanked by regular fenestration above and in the outer bays. The rear elevation has a blank ground floor with blocked openings and four windows on the first floor. The north elevation is gabled with an apex stack and has a small window at the gablehead. The south elevation is also gabled with an apex stack, featuring two small windows and a larger blocked opening with a blocked window inside. There is a metal arch attached with a modern inscription reading 'Swanfield' and a flying goose motif, along with an iron wheatsheaf bollard from the 1980s.

The building has 12-pane timber sash and case windows and a slate roof with small iron skylights, along with two apex stacks. The interior was not seen in 1993.
