15 Hope Terrace, Edinburgh

15 Hope Terrace is a classical villa built around 1860. It is a two-storey, five-bay structure with a symmetrical rectangular plan. The exterior is made of lightly stugged ashlar sandstone, featuring polished dressings. Notable architectural details include a base course, a bracketed eaves cornice, a blocking course, channelled quoins, and architraved and corniced single windows with bracketed cills.

On the entrance elevation, the central bay has a doorpiece with fluted engaged columns that support an entablature and blocking course. There is a deep-set panelled door with a plate glass fanlight above it. A single window is located above the door and in the remaining bays, all fitted with four-pane sash and case windows. The roof is covered with grey slate and has a piended design, with shouldered and corniced wallhead stacks and moulded octagonal cans.

The interior was not seen during the last inspection in 1991.
