Description
191 and 193 Canongate is a four-storey tenement building designed by Robert Hurd in 1958. It features a large round-arched cast-iron gated pend on the right side. The structure is constructed from squared and snecked rubble with ashlar dressings. To the left, there is a shop with a slightly recessed door and a fixed-pane display window to the right, along with tripartite windows above on the left. The tripartites have 12-pane timber sash and case windows, while there are 16-pane windows above the pend. The roof is covered with grey slate, and it has cast-iron rainwater goods.
