Description

Circa 1860. 2-storey and basement, 4-bay symmetrical pair of classical houses. Droved cream sandstone with polished ashlar dressings; rubble to sides and rear. Base course; moulded architraves with plain aprons; cill course to 1st floor windows; cornice; blocking course.

N (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: steps to doorways to 2 central bays; panelled doors; plate glass fanlights; corbelled cornices to doorpieces; small pair of windows between doors at ground; single windows to 1st floor above and to both floors in outer bays.

4-pane, timber, sash and case windows. Grey slate piended roof; corniced wallhead and ridge stacks; octagonal moulded cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1996.

BOUNDARY WALLS: low coped boundary wall to street; replacement railings.
