Description

Robert Burn, 1800. 3-storey with mansard attic to No 20, attic and basement, terraced tenement. Droved sandstone ashlar. Base course, band course between floors, blocking course, projecting cills, blind ashlar balustrade with panelled tablets to mansard roof above No 22, pilastered and pedimented doorpieces with decorative capitals and rosette motif, entrance platts oversailing basement.

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: broad tripartite doorpieces with timber panelled doors and segmental-arched fanlights to 1st and 4th bays, windows to remaining bays, regular fenestration above with 3 dormer windows to mansard roof, piended and canted tripartite dormer and roof light to No 22.

Timber sash and case windows with plate glass glazing, grey slates, stone skews, gablehead stack with terracotta cans, decorative cast-iron railings.

INTERIOR: not seen 1998.
