Description

Later 19th century, Smith and Hawkes foundry (Birmingham). Wall mounted letter box set into rubble wall of 29 Dean Path (see separate listing). Cast-iron, painted Post Office red. Standard design rectangular letter box with flap to top and embossed crown and initials VR above. Raised fielded panel below with integrated handle and keyhole.
