Description

Circa 1870 with modern additions. 2 storey and basement, 3 bay house with classical details on corner site; modern garage and restaurant extension adjoining house to S. Cream sandstone squared and snecked rubble with ashlar dressings. Base course; stop chamfered reveals; dividing band course; eaves course; cornice.

E (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: steps to entrance at bowed corner to outer right; recessed modern doorway; tripartite, round arched doorpiece with carved, stylised classical details; bipartite window to 1st floor above. Single windows to all floors to central bay; full height,

4 light canted window with polygonal roof to outer left.

N (BRIGHT'S CRESCENT) ELEVATION: 3 bay; central bipartite window at ground; single window to 1st floor above; advanced, corniced bipartite window to outer right; bipartite window to 1st floor above; single windows to both floors in bay to outer left.

Plate glass, timber sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; coped wallhead stacks.

INTERIOR: not seen 1996.

BOUNDARY WALLS: low coped boundary wall to street; replacement railings.
