Description

H E Clifford, 1911. 2-storey and attic, 3-bay rectangular-plan house. Squared and snecked sandstone with polished ashlar dressings. Cornice.

SW (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: single storey corniced entrance porch to SE: 4-centred arch with keystone, tripartite window in wall to right; tripartite window with stone mullions to central bay of ground floor and to 1st floor above; tripartite dormer to 2nd storey; 6-light canted window with stone mullions to ground of bay to left; stone-mullioned quadripartite window to 1st floor above; quadripartite dormer to 2nd floor; full-height 4-light bowed window in bay to right; quadripartite dormer to attic.

2-pane timber sash and case windows; dormer windows replaced in PVCu (1997); leaded window to porch has stained glass motifs. Grey slate piended roof; shouldered and deeply corniced gablehead stacks; ridge stack; mutual corniced stack with 37 Esslemont Road; tall moulded cans; coped skews.

INTERIOR: not seen 1997.

BOUNDARY WALLS: low coped boundary walls to Mayfield Road and Esslemont Road.
