Description

Earlier 19th century. 2 storey and basement, 6 bay, symmetrical pair of classical houses; single storey wing with basement adjoining house to S. Cream sandstone ashlar, droved at basement, rusticated at ground; coursed rubble to sides and rear. Base course; dividing band course; cill course to 1st floor windows; cornice; blocking course raised at centre with terminal dies.

E (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: doorways to outer bays; panelled doors; small paned fanlights; single windows above. Single windows to both floors in remaining bays. Panelled door to basement to single storey wing; single window to ground floor above.

N AND S ELEVATIONS: single central stair window between floors.

Plate glass, timber sash and case windows. Grey slate piended roof; corniced mutual stack.

INTERIOR: not seen 1996.

BOUNDARY WALLS AND PEDESTRIAN GATE: low droved, coursed and coped boundary wall to street with replacement railings; high rubble walls to N and S; original railings to low mutual wall.
