33 Minto Street, Edinburgh

33 Minto Street is a pair of classical houses built in the earlier 19th century. The buildings are two stories high with a basement and feature six symmetrical bays. There is a single-storey wing with a basement attached to the house on the south side. The exterior is made of cream sandstone ashlar, with the basement being droved and the ground floor rusticated. The sides and rear are constructed from coursed rubble. Architectural details include a base course, a dividing band course, a cill course for the first-floor windows, a cornice, and a blocking course that is raised at the center with terminal dies.

On the entrance elevation, there are doorways in the outer bays with panelled doors and small paned fanlights above. Each of these bays has a single window above. The remaining bays also feature single windows on both floors. There is a panelled door leading to the basement of the single-storey wing, with a single window above it on the ground floor.

The north and south elevations include a single central stair window positioned between the floors. The windows are made of plate glass and are timber sash and case style. The roof is covered with grey slate and has a piended design, along with a corniced mutual stack.

The interior was not seen in 1996. The property is bordered by a low droved, coursed, and coped boundary wall along the street, which has replacement railings. There are high rubble walls to the north and south, and the low mutual wall features original railings.
