Description

Arthur George Sydney Mitchell, 1894. 2-storey, 2-bay asymmetrical manse. Rendered. Decorative applied timbering to gables. Swept roofs with timber barge boarding.

NE (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: penticed-roof canted window to left at ground floor; tripartite window above. Bipartite windows to right bay.

NW ELEVATION: asymmetrical fenestration. Advanced gable-ended section to centre bay; catslide roof to NE forming porch supported by single timber post; timber panelled door accessed by original decorative timber gate.

SW ELEVATION: advanced gable to left with 4-light canted window to 1st floor. Irregular fenestration elsewhere. Bracketed timber balcony to right

Predominantly 4-pane upper sashes and 2-pane lower sashes. Grey-green slates; red terracotta ridge tiles. Tall rendered corniced stacks; tall circular cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 2002.

BOUNDARY WALL AND RAILINGS: ashlar-coped rubble boundary wall stepped down hill to NW and NE; surmounted by plain cast-iron railings to NW only.
