Description
The Torduff Reservoir Filtering Cistern, built around 1848, is a single-storey circular stone structure designed for filtering water. It features boxed timber eaves that overhang and a central ventilator with 16 sides, topped with a pointed finial. The exterior is made of finely pointed coursed droved ashlar, which includes a base course, a moulded eaves course, and advanced stone cills. There are four equally spaced 12-pane timber sash and case windows, which are protected by 20th-century grilles. The roof is covered with graduated slate.
