Description

St Stephen's Church, located on St Stephen Street in Edinburgh, was designed by W H Playfair and built between 1827 and 1828. The church features a classical style with a giant scale and a square plan that contains an octagon, which is set diagonally behind a pinnacled tower. The tower has a tunnel porch and steps at its base. The church has anta order on the southwest and southeast sides. It was refurnished in 1880, and the interior was reconstructed in 1956.
