Description

The George IV Statue, located on George Street in Edinburgh, was created by Sir Francis Chantrey in 1831. This bronze statue of George IV stands on a large square plinth made of ashlar stone. The central section of the plinth is battered and features the inscription "GEORGE IV VISITED SCOTLAND MDCCCXXII."
