Description
Kilcalmonell and Kilberry Parish Church and burial-ground, located in Clachan, dates from around 1760 and is designed in the Georgian style. The building has an oblong shape and features thinly rendered, limewashed walls. It is topped with a slate roof and includes a small belfry at the west end. A gabled porch is situated at the center of the north side, while the south side has two 'Gothic' windows. There is also a small gabled addition at the west end.
Inside, the church has a timber ceiling that is coombed and plastered. A notable feature is the fine oak pulpit, which has a broken segmental pediment and steps leading up to it. The interior was refurbished around 1900.
