Description

12 Kerrycroy Village is a pair of late 19th-century, two-storey, two-bay houses designed in the Old English style, forming a symmetrical four-bay block. The exterior features whitewashed harl with half-timbering on the first floor and red sandstone ashlar dressings. There is a raised base course and timber brackets supporting the slightly advanced first floor, along with overhanging eaves. The ground floor windows have chamfered surrounds set in advanced ashlar bays, with stone mullions and a roll-moulded cornice. The first-floor windows are gabled and break the eaves, while the front entrance porches are half-timbered. The ground floor side openings have stop-chamfered surrounds and projecting cills.

On the northeast (entrance) elevation, there are two-leaf timber panelled doors centered in projecting porches located in the outer bays. The elevation features red sandstone plinths and overhanging eaves. Tripartite windows are present at both the ground and first floors in slightly advanced gabled bays flanking the center, with corbelled lintel courses beneath the gableheads.

The northwest and southeast (side) elevations each have single windows on both floors in the outer bays. The houses are fitted with leaded two-pane timber sash and case glazing. The roof is covered with red tiles and has decorative ridge detailing, along with corniced red sandstone ashlar central ridge stacks and various circular terracotta cans.

The interiors were not seen in 1996. The property is flanked by boundary walls made of rubble-coped harl-pointed random rubble.
