Description
The group comprises a corn mill, threshing barn, and cottage, probably dating from the late 18th or early 19th century and located at Mill Farm, Loch Creran, beside the Allt Garraich burn. These well-preserved buildings demonstrate group value. The corn mill is a single-story, rectangular structure, built against the natural slope of the ground. Its north gable is crow-stepped, and the west front features a three-bay arrangement centred on a doorway, with a corrugated iron roof. The threshing barn is also built against the slope, facing the mill across the burn. It is two-storied and has a single-story elevation to the west. Low-level doors are present, alongside a loft door and a pair of slit ventilators in the upper walls. Slate covers the low range adjoining each gable, with corrugated iron on the north gable. The cottage is L-shaped with a piended and gabled slate roof. The three-bay east front, facing the yard, has sash windows and distinctive circular stacks.
