122, 124 George Street, Oban

This mid 19th century building is a three-storey, seven-bay tenement located at 122 and 124 George Street in Oban. It has a rectangular plan and is rendered and lined, situated above shops. The stone window margins and raised cills are present at the first and second floors. The central bay features paired timber boarded doors leading to the flats. To the right of the centre, there are two original shopfronts with stall risers and a cornice above, along with matching paired doorways that contain panelled storm doors with glazed doors behind. A cornice is also present at the eaves.

The second floor features surviving four-pane timber sash and case windows in bays five to seven on the west elevation, with blind windows at the centre. The east (rear) elevation has stair windows with surviving lying-pane timber sash and case windows. There are twelve-pane timber sash and case windows in the second floor bays one, three, and four. The first floor has plate glass timber sash and case windows in bays two, three, and four, and in the second floor bay two. The building has a grey-slated pitched roof, with all stacks removed except for a multi-flued, rendered stack at the south gable.
