Description

Mid 19th century, 3-storey, 7-bay tenement. Rectangular plan, rendered and lined, above shops, stone window margins and raised cills at 1st and 2nd floor. Paired timber boarded doors to flats at centre bay. Pair of original shopfronts to right of centre with stall risers and cornice above, matching paired doorways containing panelled storm doors with glazed doors behind. Cornice at eaves.

4-pane timber sash and case windows surviving in 2nd floor bays 5-7 of W (George Street) elevation, blind windows at centre. Stair windows at E (Rear) elevation with surviving lying-pane timber sash and case windows. 12-pane timber sash and case window at 2nd floor bays 1, 3 and 4. Plate glass timber sash and case windows at 1st floor bays 2, 3, and 4, and 2nd floor bay 2. Grey-slated pitched roof. Stacks removed except for multi-flued, rendered stack at S gable.
