Description
Ardmarnock House is a Georgian building dating from around 1820. It has two storeys and a basement, with three bays. The exterior is rendered and features a piended slated roof, a blocking course, and a cornice. There is a string course, and the first storey windows are corniced. The entrance includes an Ionic distyle porch with an elliptical fan-light and side-lights, approached by a stair. Inside, there are fine chimney-pieces and other notable features. The northwest wing, added around 1885, is designed in a Scottish style, has two storeys and a garret, and includes corbie steps.
