Description

West Mill, located in Cortachy, is a two-storey building constructed from rubble and slate. Originally a corn mill, it was dated 1743 and underwent rebuilding in the mid-19th century. The building has since been converted into a village hall and a cottage. A stone inset, dated 1743, features the initials 'EC. IA. MA'. The 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey map identifies it as a Drill Hall.
