Description
104 High Street in Montrose is an 18th-century house that adjoins Nos. 100 and 102 at the back. It is three stories tall with an attic and has two bays, featuring part-harled walls and plain margins.
The south elevation has bays that are offset to the right, with two doors at the ground level. The left door has a rectangular fanlight above it, and there are windows on the first and second floors centered above the doors.
The east elevation connects to Nos. 100 and 102 High Street.
The west elevation is a two-bay gable end with a single-storey building attached to the left.
The north elevation is made of rubble stone, with blocked openings on the right and irregularly placed windows on the left. There are windows on the first and second floors that are angled in relation to the front block.
The house features a variety of glazing patterns in its timber sash and case windows. The roof is covered with grey slate, and there is a brick gable head stack on the west side.
The interior was not seen in 1997.
