Bothy, South Balluderon Farm

This cottage, located at South Balluderon Farm, dates from around 1800 and is a single-storey building with a rectangular plan. It features dry dashed rubble masonry and a stone slate roof, with coped brick stacks on the ridge and gable ends. The windows include a mix of 2- and 4-pane patterns, with some sash and case designs.

On the west elevation, the cottage has three bays, with a central door flanked by two windows. To the left is a former bothy, which also has three bays: a small pane window on the left, a centre pivot window in the middle, and a larger top-hopper window on the right. There is a flat-roofed garage addition at the left return.

The east elevation includes a corrugated sheet metal lean-to on the left, with a small 4-pane window for the cottage, while the former bothy is slightly recessed on the right.

Inside, the cottage retains three original doors in the hall, full-height boarded walling in the living room and bedroom, and a bedroom ceiling. There is a 19th-century chimneypiece in the bedroom and an earlier 20th-century range in the living room.

Additionally, there are rubble garden walls to the south and east of the property.
