Description

No 16 in Auchmithie is a late 18th century, single-storey cottage that originally had three bays but was altered in the 19th century to include an additional single bay, resulting in a total of four bays. The original three bays are constructed from white-washed snecked and squared rubble, featuring a central door flanked by single windows, which have modern glazing. The cottage has a slate roof with stepped masonry skews and end stacks, with the northern stack being made of brick. The end bay on the right side has a large modern square window opening.
