Description

Turfbeg Railway Bridge is an earlier 19th-century single segmental arch skew bridge. It features flanking pilaster-buttresses and is constructed from rock-faced ashlar with heavily dressed, rock-faced voussoirs. There is a band course at the springing point that continues under the intrados, as well as a band course at the wallhead below the coped parapet. Additional pilaster-buttresses are present on the approach walls.
