Description

The British Linen Bank in Cross, Forfar, was designed by Kinnear and Peddie and built between 1895 and 1896. This building features an Early Renaissance style with two storeys, an attic, and a garret. The ground floor is rusticated and includes a doorpiece with a broken pediment in the Ionic style. Above this, there are four windows, and at the attic level, there is a large gable that is scrolled and consoled, also featuring the Ionic order.
