Description
Windmill Stump in Northfield is an early 19th-century structure. It features a square base made of slightly battered rubble, which supports a cylindrical windmill tower that tapers upwards and is coated with modern harl. At the front of the tower, there is a single-storey lean-to also made of rubble. Inside, the arched space reveals two round-headed narrow openings that lead to a square wallhead. The interior has been gutted.
