Description

Kirkstane House, located on Manse Road in Kirkton of Skene, has its rear section dating back to 1779, while the front part and complete remodelling were carried out by John Smith in 1840. The building is two stories high and features harled walls with margins. The 1840 section has a crow-stepped gable. The front has three windows, with the central bay being advanced and featuring a round-headed doorpiece topped with a plain stepped hood-mould. An addition made in 1878 by Clyne has recently been removed, and the building has been renovated. It also includes a block of offices.
