Description
Kirkton House, located in Kirkton of Skene, is a single-storey building with a full basement, constructed in the Neo-Greek style. It was originally dated by John Smith to 1825, with further work by Smith in 1848. The house underwent renovations in 1924. The exterior features broad eaves and is built of rough ashlar, with a bull-faced finish on the basement. Notable architectural elements include a tetra-style wooden Greek Doric portico at the center of the east front, a canted bay at the center of the south front, and twin bows on the west front.
