Description
This building is a town house located on Broad Street in Peterhead, designed by John Baxter in 1788. It is a three-storey structure with five windows, featuring a slightly advanced central three-window section topped with a pediment and a steeple. The front is made of granite ashlar. Originally, there was a stair leading to the first floor, but a poorly designed porch by William Stuart was added in 1881. On the north elevation, there is a niche at the centre with an arched ground floor. The plasterwork on the second floor dates from 1812. The clock was made by James Argo in 1788, and a bell by Mears was added in 1858.
