Meldrum Arms Hotel, South Road, Oldmeldrum

The Meldrum Arms Hotel is a building located on South Road in Oldmeldrum. The central part of the hotel dates from the late 18th century and is two stories high with three windows. It features harled walls and has skewputts, with splay corbelled corners that are square at the set-back to the northern wing. The northern wing, built around 1820, has a piend roof and a splayed corner, along with a small circular window by the door and tripartite windows on the first floor. The southern wing, from the mid-19th century, has irregular window arrangements that have been partly altered, and includes a low office wing with a ball finial at the apex of its gable. Much of the glazing is original, and there is a continuous dormer with matching glazing on the central part of the building.
