Description

The Sailor Statue at the Meldrum Arms Hotel on South Road in Old Meldrum dates from the early to mid-19th century. Its origin is uncertain, but it is said to have been sculpted for a sailor's widow. The statue is life-sized and features a large head, made of freestone.
