Description

The sundial at Tilliefoure is very similar to the sundial at Ellon Castle, dating from around 1710 to 1715. It features two shallow steps leading up to a plinth, which has an ogee moulded design. The sundial has a square, sculptured shaft and a facet-headed dial with hollows on all 24 faces, topped with a ball finial.
